Make It Monday: Bible Verse Home Decor

Good morning!

Sometimes things get in the way of getting things done, and that was literally the way it was around our house on Saturday. We've been storing new carpeting behind the couch on the front porch and waiting for a time when The Mister and our oldest son would be home at the same time to get it installed. Well, Saturday was the day I guess. We spent some time moving everything to the porch, dining room, kitchen, upstairs and I realized it was going to be awhile before I could get around the house freely.

I went away for awhile to run some errands and when I got back the bluegrass music was playing and they were stretching, cutting, laughing... There was just this bitty corner of the dining table where I put my laptop and so instead of trying to stumble over stuff or get in the way, I decided to open Cricut Craftroom and continue on where I left off making some little home decor pieces with marble tile that I purchased on clearance at Menard's.

This one was finished on Friday evening. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the Cricut brand of vinyl. I wanted to try and move my last line over a little bit to the left, but it was pretty stuck, so I left it. But first attempts are often like that, so I didn't let it discourage me.

After they were done with the carpet and I'd helped put some things back in order, I sat down and cut this one that I had saved in Craftroom. I love looking around for fonts and working out the word art.

I was a little worried about the butterfly and the intricate scroll design, but it cut quite well. I'm also starting to get the hang of using the transfer material. And what sweet little gifts that can be made for someones' shelf or desk!

That's it for today. Always love it when you stop by.  Feel free to share these projects on your page or on Pinterest, but remember to include a link back. Comments and feedback are always appreciated.

Have a blessed week!
